Rep from * to * x 12, then finish with 4dc, 1htr and ss to top of initial 3ch. Fasten off.

Wings:

To create the angel’s wings you will need to fold over the top edge as in the photograph, so that you can access the loops of round 4. The wrong side of the work will be facing, but when you fold the edge in, that will be right side facing.

Wing 1:

Row 1: On Rnd 4, attach the yarn to Point A (you need the diagram for this, but it can be worked out from the photograph) for first wing. You will be working towards the centre form R to L. In the 1st loop work: 1ch, 1dc, 1ch, 1htr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1 dbtr, 1ch. In the the 2nd loop work 1dtr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1htr, 1ch, 1dc, ss to next dc along the loop to secure. Turn work.

Row 4: 2ch, 1htr in dc on row below, 2ch, 1 tr into htr below, (2ch, 1 dbtr into tr below) x 2 , (2ch, 1trtr into dbtr below) x 2, (2ch, 1 dbtr into tr below) x 2, 2ch, 1 tr into htr below, 2ch 1htr in last dc. Ss to join.

Row 3: 1ch, *2dc over 1st loop, one 3ch picot, dc into same loop*. Rep to end. Ss to join. Fasten off.

Wing 2:

For second wing, repeat, but start at point B, working away from centre.

Head:

Rnd 1. 2ch, 6dc in 1st ch, ss to join. (6dc)

Rnd 2: 1ch, 2dc in same place, 2dc in each dc to end, ss to join. (12dc)

Rnd 3: 1ch, 2dc in same place, 1dc in next dc. Rep x 6 (18dc)

Rnd 4: 1ch, 2dc in same place, 1dc in each of next 2 dc. Rep x 6 (24dc)

Rnd 5: 1ch, 1dc in dc on row below, 3ch picot, *1dc in each of next 2 dc, 3ch picot* x 4; ss round remaining dc on row 4. Ss to join. Fasten off.
